The first thing you notice upon leaving the Rotterdam Central Rail Station is that, unlike other Dutch cities, the city center (known as the Stadcentrum) is new. There are also many hotels near the Rotterdam Zoom, the Arboretum Trompenburg and Euromast in the Delfshaven District which are also convenient to many hotel rooms.
Getting around Rotterdam can be fun in a water taxi, and some hotels rent cars and bicycles.
