Thale is renowned above all for its Hexentanzplatz and the many myths and legends surrounding its cliffs. The summit can be reached by cable car, allowing views of a diverse and spectacular landscape - jagged rocks, green hills, wild rapids and, in the distance, Mount Brocken and the Teufelsmauer.
Around Hexentanzplatz you find a 120-kilometre network of wonderful hiking trails, which enable you to explore the area's unique landscape, flora and fauna.
