The cosy restaurant inside the Schilthorn cable car station in Mürren is a popular meeting point serving traditional Swiss specialities such as fondue and raclette in a rustic atmosphere. In winter, the Taverne is the insider tip for après ski with music and fun.
Enjoy the best from our kitchen and wine cellar in pleasant surroundings. Our à la carte offer contains a wide range of local and international specialities and seasonal dishes. Set yourself up for the day with a hearty breakfast buffet which may also be enjoyed in the revolving Piz Gloria Restaurant on the spectacular Schilthorn summit. In the evening we serve a superb seasonal à la carte menu and a delicious dinner for half board arrangements.

Mürren is a car-free mountain village at 1,650 metres above sea level, rich in tradition and originally the home of settlers from the Lütschen Valley in the Valais. Perched on a high, sunny terrace facing the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains, the village is the highest-altitude ski resort in the Bernese Oberland. It nestles at the foot of the Schilthorn mountain with its revolving Piz Gloria Restaurant, made world-famous by a James Bond movie.
In summer, Mürren is the perfect place from which to start a host of hikes, from simple to strenuous. You can reach Mürren from Lauterbrunnen by mountain railway (BLM) or from Stechelberg by aerial cableway (LSMS). Mürren has 450 inhabitants and a total of 2,000 beds in 14 hotels and 250 holiday apartments. Top events are the Inferno Ski Races and the Inferno Triathlon.

By train:
International trains (ICE, EC, IC) travel to Interlaken. From there, take the Bernese-Oberland-Railway (BOB) to Lauterbrunnen and continue by public bus to Stechelberg. There you take the cableway to Mürren and arrive right next to the hotel.
By plane:
The closest airport is Berne-Belp.
