Muggia still maintains its history as a small town shaped by the people of Istria and the Veneto region. You can even still see traditional flags of the Serene Republic of Venice, to which Muggia used to be united. This link is particularly evident during the carnival celebrations.
The hotel is also close to the Lazzaretto international border with Slovenia. Capodistria (Koper), Pirano (Piran) and Portorose (Portoroz) are a few minutes away by car.
