Our roots are in Lüneburg. Here, the first Seminaris Hotel was inaugurated in 1978. Why here, in this city on the north-eastern fringe of the Lüneburger Heide?
There are several reasons. One is the city itself. The lovingly restored old town, 1000 years old, presents itself today, while on the other side the pulsating life of the young university town is an appealing contrast and the closeness to Hamburg, the gate to the world, means for us: we already have one foot inside!

With 8 floors, this hotel is higher than most buildings in Lüneburg. The advantage is that guests enjoy a magnificent view over the red roofs of the town. The rooms are also beautifully furnished to 4-star standards.
One of the rooms is fully equipped for wheelchair access, and no-smoking rooms are available.

The Catalpa restaurant has a terrace looking out over the spa park, and serves fresh, regional cuisine. Choose from a selection of hot and cold delicacies at the lunch buffet. The medieval and Hanseatic city of Lüneburg offers a wide range of cultural and historic events and attractions. These include the Rathaus (City Hall), Kloster Lüne (monastery), the Hafenviertel (romantic port), the German Salt Museum and the over 500 year old Kronen-Brauhaus (brewery). You can explore the unique scenery of the Lüneburg Heath on a hiking or cycling tour.

Coming by car:
From the A7 motorway between Hamburg and Hanover, take the Soltau-Ost exit. From the A250 motorway between Hamburg and Lüneburg, take the ring-road and the Lüneburg-Kaltenmoor exit. In Lüneburg follow the signs towards Kurzentrum (spa centre) and the blue hotel route.
Coming by train and bus:
The hotel is 2 kilometres from Lüneburg railway station. Take bus line 3 and get off at Soltauer Straße/Kurzentrum.
By plane:
The nearest airports are Hamburg (70 kilometres) and Hanover (113 kilometres).
