Villa Eugenia

Villa Eugenia was built in the Austro-Hungarian monarchic style, dating from 1910. The building is protected in Lovran as a cultural monument.

The hotel offers a wide range of additional activities and to keep active, the nearby tennis courts are available for guest use. For alternative exercise, why not try the oriental dance classes that the hotel will be happy to arrange.

Villa Eugenia boasts excellent business facilities. The state-of-the-art conference hall can accommodate up to 12 delegates. The hall is equipped with a Polycom conference device that enables connection of Villa Eugenia’s conference hall with up to 4 locations anywhere in the world. The hotel can also help to organise team-building workshops.

The hotel offers ADSL wireless internet connection, except for in the rooms where ADSL connection is possible via cable.

Try something different and experience one of the hotel's yachting packages. The Princess 56 makes Villa Eugenia even more exclusive. The 56 foot yacht has a 3-deck layout, consisting of 6 - 8 berths in 3 cabins. Add-ons to the yachting packages include jet-skiing and water-skiing.

Unfortunately, the hotel is not suitable for disabled guests.

Rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor have a balcony. Rooms on the 3rd floor have a fantastic panoramic view from glass roof windows. Rooms have either a view to the sea or the Mediterranean garden and Ucka mountain.

You can enter the room with an electronic card that will be handed over to you when checking in. When inserted, the card automatically activates the electronic devices in the room, such as automatic curtain lifting mechanisms.

Breakfast is served between 07:30 and 11:00. Breakfast can be brought to your room on request.

The calm town of Lovran benefits from a mild mediterranean climate, making it a year-round holiday destination for the last 150 years. Lovran has been a major ship building centre since the 12th century and takes its name from the evergreen laurel that grows in abundance in the town.

Excursion to Porec (80 km) - Sightseeing of the arena and city centre.

Excursion to Brijuni Islands (75 km) - Take in fantastic views travelling by train across the Brijuni landscape. Marvel at the antique Roman villa and Bisantian castle in Dobrika Bay.

Excursion to Istrian peninsula (40 km) - Visit vine roads, including the tasting of vines and lunch in a restaurant with authentic Istrian dishes.

Ucka mountain (25 km) - From this national park you can partake in many outdoor activities such as mountain bike trails and hang gliding. Climb to the highest peak, Vojak, for breath-taking panoramic views of Istria and Kvarner.

By Car:
From Zagreb:
- Take the main road to reach the entrance to the city of Rijeka.
- From here head in the direction of Opatija-Trst (Trieste).
- Follow Rijeka's ring road until reaching the sign pointing towards the city of Opatija.
- Follow the right lane until the ring road’s exit. (Turn left at the traffic lights).
- You're heading to Villa Eugenia if you've passed the sign “Opatija”.
- If you're driving without making any turns and have gone through the small towns of Ičići ( on your left side you should spot Marina Ičići) and Ika, you are driving straight to the entrance of Lovran.
- Hotel Villa Eugenia is situated on the right side of the main road which smoothly leads you from Opatija to Lovran.
- After the big curve by Lovran's hospital, continue to follow the main road until taking the 1st the small road on your right-hand side by the car wash but before the tennis court
- At the end of the small curvy road you will find the villa's parking ramp.

Please note: you have passed Villa Eugenia if you have reached Lovran's petrol station or if hotel Excelsior is on your right.

Parking:
An attended parking lot reserved for guests’ vehicles is at the back of the hotel. It is accessed by a magnetic card, and is under constant video surveillance. The car park is free and has 15 spaces.
