The Derby Hotel is located on direct routes by road and tube from London Heathrow. It is a few minutes' walk from Earl's Court and Gloucester Road underground stations for easy travel around London from its airports, mainline rail stations and the Heathrow Express.

All major roads and motorways towards London intersect with the M25 London orbital motorway. The hotel is on Cromwell Road, which is the A4 and a continuation of the M4. The easiest routes is:
- Join the M25 east or westbound, as appropriate, to reach the M4 intersection.
- Come off the M25 onto the M4 and head towards London.
- Shortly after West Kensington underground station and the junction for Earl's Court, you will see the Cromwell Hospital on your left.
- The hotel is on the right, beyond the Cromwell Hospital, directly opposite the Quality Crown Hotel Kensington.
