The price is too high - for 160 euros per day, they charge breakfast for extra 16 euros and the food selection is not on the price level. Also I expect a free internet for that kind of money. It is aviable, but for extra 17 euros per day.

Golden Tulip Leiden Centre is very conveniently located , walking distance from the railway station and still walking distance from the city centre. General maintenance meet/exceed the four star standard
The TV system does not receive both important european networks - no french or italian channels at all as example - or international except for CNN.
Rooms are comfortable but the furniture available for pants, or underwear is very limited or not existing. Cleanliness meeet the standard but curtain should be washed more frequently. The bathroom door could not be locked.

Very pleasant environment (lobby, bar, restaurant), very friendly and helpful staff, great location, nice room
The room was kind of dark because the energy-sparing light bulbs just didn't give off enough light. A couple of times I walked to the better lit entry hall of my room to read something. Your older guests must be having a hard time with that.
I was a little alarmed when I saw two pair of ear plugs in the armoire, but I slept just fine without them.

Hotel on the picture and from outside looks new large and modern, but the rooms, lobby and breakfast place are old and small, this was the major disappointment. Golden Tulip in the Hague is far better, at least one star higher, not comparable in fact, despite the same name.
Easy to find, as visible from the train station
The rooms on the first floor giving on the busy street and train station are to be avoided
