When entering the harbour of Kos town, the 14th century medieval Castle of Neratzia is bound to draw your attention. This castle is connected to the mainland by a bridge that crosses the Palm Tree Avenue. The Hippocrates Museum is also located in town, as the physician is believed to have originated here.
Kos is in general very quiet and the Bristol Apartments are in a serene location. The bar streets of Nafklirou and nearby Diakon tend to be the only noisy parts of town.
