Quentin Design Berlin HotelThe Quentin Design Hotel Berlin is a modern, well-designed hotel that does not skimp on aesthetic or comfort. Shoppers can delight in the Quentin Design Hotel Berlin’s proximity to the Kurfurstendamm shopping district and the massive KaDeWe department store (Europe’s largest). Socialites can enjoy the nightlife of Shoneberg in the Fuggerstrabe area. This is Berlin’s “gay district” that extends an equally welcoming arm to straight couples.  Despite the Quentin Design Hotel Berlin’s location to these busy parts of a busy city, the hotel itself sits on a quiet residential side street making for short walks back for a peaceful night’s sleep. There are also several U-Bahn stations in the area to whisk you away to all the must-see destinations in Berlin.

On the inside, the Quentin Design Hotel Berlin manages to pack in little tasteful details everywhere you look. Well-chosen photography hangs in the lobby and in the rooms and small statues and sculptures sit alongside dry flower displays on many of the hotel’s flat surfaces. Our room felt clean and stylish with an LCD TV, a large bed (with great pillows—a rare hotel treat), free internet, and a fantastic, cool shower and bath area. We did not eat at the hotel as we found plenty of food choices in the area but the dining space looked very comfortable and the food looked good.
Pictures of the Quentin Design Hotel Berlin accurately show what is in store. We were not disappointed.

Relaxa Stuttgarter HofThe Relaxa Hotel Stuttgarter Hof is a worthy four-star destination in the heart of Berlin. The Stuttgarter Hof is both convenient as a starting point to some of the major destinations in Berlin and a relaxing, clean place to unwind when you are done sightseeing. The staff always received praise for their friendliness and willingness to provide true four-star hotel service and the Stuttgarter Hof’s restaurants provide good, hearty food.

If you head north, you are just a short walk (less than a kilometer) from the Tiergarten. We used the Tiergarten as our route to Potsdam Platz, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and other destinations to the north. Equally convenient to the south is Checkpoint Charlie and the remains of the Berlin Wall in the wonderful, eclectic neighborhood of Kreuzberg (make sure to have a Turkish meal while you’re here). We even managed to walk to the wonderful shopping area of Kurfürstendamm. The Stuttgarter Hof is also just a few minutes from the S-Bahn which will connect you to the U-Bahn and the farther points in the city center.

We chose the Stuttgarter Hof based on its location and then did some exploring into its cleanliness and hospitality. After we arrived, we encountered a pleasant staff and a clean, large room. The staff is very informed about local amenities as well as Berlin destinations and they were able to book tickets to museums and shows for us in advance. Since we booked a room for a week, we were upgraded to a Superior room. I would recommend the Superior even for a short stay. The breakfast, included in the price, is huge and delicious. We didn’t need to eat again until late afternoon.
