Amsterdam's prestigious summer dance festival, Julidans, will be taking place this year between July 1st and 12th.

The eighteenth edition of this celebration includes performances from across the spectrum of dance, showcasing the work of both well-known choreographers and up-and-coming talent from around the world.

Innovative performances are on show in the festival that aims to explore both the present and the future of dance theatre.

The line-up this year features London choreographer Hofesh Shechter opening the festival with Uprising/In Your Rooms.

Other highlights include Argentinian Constanza Macras' Brickland and the premiere of Nanine Linning's new production Dolby.

Performances take place at a number of venues throughout the city.

While in Amsterdam, visitors may want to check out some of the many attractions that the city has to offer - the Dutch capital boasts the most museums per square inch of the world, so there's plenty to keep tourists occupied.ADNFCR-1382-ID-18589734-ADNFCR
