We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It was perfect for us - a restored
historical building with attention paid to decorative detail and at the same
time good facilities like bathrooms and efficient central heating. Breakfast on
the terrace was a particular delight. Goreme village is very small and this
hotel is right in the centre, so we could wander into all the shops and
restaurants whenever we wanted. In fact we ditched the car altogether and
walked to the main sites. The hotel owner/manager was very pleasant, friendly,
helpful and also professional. It is a family run business - the family has
been in the hotel business for 2 generations.
This is not a luxury hotel, it is
simply a really good place to stay. Small details like the occasional squeaking
door, dodgy TV connections or loose fitting in a bathroom could easily be borne
- but at the same time could easily be mended by the management in the
off-season!
