Easy acess to city centre and the secc. All staff helpful and friendly.
We werent informed that it had changed it name from The City Inn so spent nearly an hour looking for it.

Very clean and close to the secc
The cleaner came to our room twice in the morning, once at 9.00am and again at 10.15am. This was a nuisance as we were allowed until 12.00pm to check out!

Handy location for SECC and city centre.
Parking was handy but didn't realise we would be charged £5.00. TV in room didn't work. Couldn't find hairdryer in the room.

The location was great, particularly as we were attending a function at the SECC - a 1 minute walk away. The rooms were clean and well equipped and our 'river view' room had a good view.
Unfortunately we checked out of the hotel at 4am as a fan was continuously running which kept both myself and my husband awake. It appeared to be coming from the bathroom even though the light was switched off and there was no facility to stop it. I felt there was too much furniture in the room, the table and armchair made it an obstacle course!

When I entered the room it was freezing. The staff servicing the room must have been aware of this. I set the thermostat to maximum and left the room at 4pm. On returning in the evening at 9pm the room was freezing. I contacted reception and was informed it would be checked and they would call me back. After 1 hour no call back so I again telephoned reception who apologized and would check and call me back. I received a call after 15 minutes informing me that the thermostat was faulty and would I like a fan heater, I accepted the offer as my wife and I were really feeling the cold. A very uncomfortable night was spent by both of us as we had to leave the small fan heater on all night and the noise kept us awake

Location of the hotel, food very good and good value dining room had a nice atmosphere and waiting staff provided good service
Tiny point of crticism was the room was a bit stuffy, couldn't adjust the heating/air flow
