Frankfurt’s Hotel Excelsior is located in the prime area for tourists and businessmen alike. Situated blocks away from the city’s main train station and steps away from the Main River, the hotel provides easy access to transportation (the airport is just 12 minutes away via the S-Bahn metro) as well as Frankfurt’s top tourist attractions including the Goethe Haus, birthplace of German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The city’s museum district, Museumsufer, is just across the river, and sites like the trade fair, banking district, stock exchange, Alte Oper opera house, the Romer, boutique shopping, and theatres are a stone’s throw away. Most of the hotel’s 197 rooms have a private balcony, and all rooms boast a mini-bar that is stocked every day and its contents (including two bottles of Apollinaris water, 2 Binding beers, 2 Vaihinger fruit juices, 2 Pepsi colas and 1 bottle of Vittel water) are provided free of charge. The Excelsior prides itself on its accommodations, and ‘gratis’ is not a foreign concept. A telephone is provided in each room and domestic phone calls are free of charge, free Internet access is available in the hotel and up to 2 children under the age of 12 stay free. The Hotel Excelsior is located directly opposite to the SOUTH exit of the Frankfurt central railway terminal.
BY CAR:
At first, follow the direction signs 'Stadtmitte / Hauptbahnhof' (city center / main station.)
from the north turn into Mannheimerstraße.
from the south turn left at the 'Baseler Platz' into the 'Karlsruher Straße' and then right into the 'Mannheimer Street'.
