For an unforgettable culinary experience, make sure you make an advance reservation for the popular Sunday Roast Lunch. Also be sure to stop in for a cocktail at the Tempus Bar, the hotel’s stylish and comfortable lounge, which attracts locals as well as guests. Business travelers are treated to a meeting room with high carved ceilings, a fireplace, natural lighting and a large wooden boardroom table, along with state of the art audio visual equipment. The George Hotel is an extremely clean and comfortable hotel to stay in. The staff members are extremely helpful and welcoming.

Most things were excellent. The central position was good.
Parking facilities in the middle of the street became cumbersome as we had to move and park again every third hour.
The bed was quite ok but a somewhat hard.

We stayed twice, once booked through our travel agent and once by internet. The internet rooms were larger and had beautiful views, on higher floors, no breakfast. The travel agent rooms were smaller with breakfast. We would definitely stay at this hotel if we ever return to Edinburgh |
