The location was god, near to the station, shops, attractions, nightlife, the concierges were friendly and funny
The description on the web site said all en suites had new continental style bathrooms, ours didn't. We had a horrible view out of the window. When we arrived one of the lamps wasn't working, it made it really dark where the mirror was, we reported it several times but it took 3 days for them to fix it. No soap in the bathroom, and for a four star hotel we expected clean towels everyday but only had them changed once.

The hotel itself was beautiful, the leisure facilities were enjoyable and our room was perfect too. The location could not have been any better!
Outside noise did wake us up once even though it wasn't a weekend in which we stayed which was slightly irratating. It is stated that check in time is 2pm and we arrived at around 2.30pm only to be told that their was no double room ready as they had a very busy night the night before. Before we went for a walk and returned half an hr later for our room we were offered a twin room. I expect a room that I have booked to be ready as I have paid good money to use the from 2pm.

Everything ,except for the food at breakfast and the sloppy service in the resaurant at this time.
The breakfast was poor.Food had been standing in waming plates far too long,hence eggs were rubbery,bacon ranged from undercooked at the bottom of the tray to dried out and inedible on the top.the waiter cleared our table of all drinks whilst we visited the hot buffet and was quite rude,didn't apologise,just muttered something to the effect that he thought we had gone.

WE CHOSE THE HOTEL MAINLY BECAUSE IT'S CLOSENESS TO THE RAILWAY STATION AND AL THE ATTRACTIONS
ONE OF THE PARTY IS INFIRMED, AND ALTHOUGH THE HOTEL WAS ONLY 200 YARDS FROM THE RAILWAY STATION, THE ACCESS TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. WE HAD TO CLIMB MANY FLIGHTS OF STAIRS FROM THE ROAD TO THE BRIDGE. IF YOU ADVERTISE THAT ACCESS COULD BE GAINED FROM A LOWER LEVEL, THEREBY ACCESSING ON LEVEL -4 OF THE HOTEL WE COULD HAVE USED THE LIFT AND SAVED MUCH STRESS. OUR HOLIDAY WOULD HAVE STARTED SO MUCH BETTER

Superb hotel wonderful big bed, freindly staff,clean room, clean foyer, clean dining room. What more could you ask for? ( haggis at breakfast time ).
Everything the best hotel we have stayed in yet.

I enjoyed my stay very much, but I'm not sure if I would call it a 4 Star hotel based on the standard of my room. Nothing wrong with it, just more of a 3 Star in my book. Car parking was also a little bit of a pain. Ended up park in another hotels car park due to there not being anywhere to park out the front and no details about parking being available on the web site.
