It's a "basic", "low cost" hotel - clean enough and reasonably priced for central Edinburgh in mid summer.
Staff were courteous and helpful.
Noisy at night - Hunter Square is Euro-youth central, and the trash in the surrounding streets was often overflowing the receptacles.
