In 2003 Splendid Hotel received an acknowledgment from the Tourist association of the City of Dubrovnik for excellent results and taking first place in the hotel category of the "I love Croatia – let's make our town more beautiful" challenge.

If you would like to look around the city and surroundings on your own our staff will rent a car or bicycle for you. If you enjoy more daring adventures, we recommend our panoramic flight of the city. To guests with athletic disposition we recommend our scuba diving course, sea-kayaking, safari or guided tour of the city.

In the foot of mountain Petka, 4 km distance from the city center, connected with a regular public-bus line every 15 minutes.

By plane
The airport is cca 25 km from the hotel.
Buses follow the flight plan of Croatia Airlines and run from the Ćilipi airport to Pile (25km) where you can continue by taxi or bus line No. 4. There is also a taxi station at the airport.

By ship
Ships dock in Dubrovnik's Gruž harbour from where buses No. 1A, 1B and 8 for Pile are available. When you arrive to Pile you can take a taxi or bus No. 4.

By car
At the entrance to Dubrovnik just follow the directions to Lapad bay where you will find signposts to hotels of the Maestral group.

By bus
From the bus station to Pile you get by buses No. 1A, 1B, 2, 3, 6, 8 and 9. Once in Pile you can take a taxi or bus No. 4.
