All 64 rooms are unique and are furnished and decorated in Guldsmeden’s signature designer Balinese style, combining the utmost in comfort, luxury and original art.

The neighbourhood has lots of cafés, small shops and old houses.
Each morning the reception area on the first floor is transformed into an intimate little café, where our exceptional breakfast buffet is served. On our organic breakfast buffet you’ll find a selection of high-quality bread, homemade yoghurt, a delicatessen counter and French cheeses. All served on hand-decorated Mexican crockery.

The concept for the Guldsmeden hotels is unique, and a very important feature is the focus on ecology and organic products. In all rooms you will find Guldsmeden’s own manufactured organic shampoo and cream products.

Breakfast & brunch:
The sumptuous organic breakfast buffet is a feature in all the Guldsmeden hotels and includes various types of high-quality bread, cakes, fruit, delicatessen and cheeses, as well as home-made yoghurt with vanilla and almonds. Breakfast is served on handmade Mexican crockery and can be enjoyed in our lovely heated courtyard or in our restaurant.

Vesterbro - the former red light district:
During the last ten years Vesterbro has undergone a massive transformation and is no longer the bad neighbourhood where it was not entirely safe to go at night. Instead it is now an attractive and fashionable place to live and hang out.

Hang out at Halmtorvet:
On Halmtorvet, a former red light district in Copenhagen, a number of cafes and restaurants have opened during the last years and during summertime the sidewalks are crowded with tables of people sipping coffee.

Hip boutiques with unique clothing on Vesterbro:
Vesterbro, Copenhagen's former working class district, has become one of the city's most hip areas. The far end of Istedgade is a must for those seeking unusual fashion design. Many up-and-coming designers of clothing have established themselves with interesting boutiques and workrooms in the back. Parallel Vesterbrogade follows up with a number of good specialist shops.

By Car:
- From the City Hall Square simply follow Vesterbrogade for 5 minutes drive and then Carlton will appear on the right side shortly after Vesterbro Torv.

By Bus:
From the City Hall Square you can catch bus number 6A which will take you directly to the hotel.

From Copenhagen Airport (10km):
Take a taxi from the airport or you can catch the train to Copenhagen Central Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes.
From there catch bus 6A or walk directly to Carlton. The walk takes approximately 10 minutes.
