Main reason for choosing NH Grand Place Arenberg: Location
While the location of the hotel was excellent for sightseeing, with many of places of interest such as the Grand Place and the Musee Royal des Beaux Arts within easy walking distance and a mainline/metro station five minutes away, and while the staff were friendly and the rooms etc clean and modern, I was rather surprised that it has a 4* rating. The standard rooms were small and basic compared to those in other city centre hotels with a similar rating I have stayed in, and the hotel was clearly designed for weekday business guests, offering very reduced facilities and services over the weekend. For example, there was no laundry service available on Saturdays and Sundays (and effectively Fridays unless you wanted to pay extra for sameday service or could wait three days to get your laundry back) and, more surprisingly, the brasserie was closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. While there were plenty of restaurants and cafes locally, I would have expected a 4* hotel to offer more than a very restricted room service menu over the weekend. Personally I would put reate this hotel as a good solid 3*.
The location could not be better - five minutes walk from the Grand Place and about the same to Centraal Station to pick up the metro.
The buffet breakfasts were vastly overpriced, poor quality, and supplies were not replenished frequently enough which caused other guests to complain.

Main reason for choosing NH Grand Place Arenberg: Location
Room was very well accountred with everything we needed. Hotel staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The location was perfect with easy access to central train station, tourist bus and main square. I was also able to retrieve my email.
Everything. As our last stop in Belgium, it was the best.
Although it was a good rate for as prices go in the country, generally prices are too high for me to do a return trip any time in the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, I get more value for my money in USA.
