All of the hotel’s rooms have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Each room is comfortable and well equipped, with all the modern comforts and facilities you would expect to find in a 3-star hotel room.

Rooms with front sea views and side sea views are available, as are rooms at the rear of the hotel, which offer the same high standard of accommodation, but without sea views.

The well-stocked Chequers Plaza Bar is open 24 hours a day and offers a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Guests can relax in the newly refurbished bar and lounge whatever the time of day, enjoying a relaxed drink with friends or catching up on all the latest sporting fixtures or the soaps on the large flat-screen TV.

The hotel’s sun lounge has one of the best views of the promenade in the whole of Blackpool, with the stunning panoramic views stretching out to the Irish Sea. The hotel is situated in the more refined North Shore area of Blackpool, right on the Queen’s Promenade, which runs along the seafront.

A peaceful, tranquil oasis away from the crowds, the hotel is nevertheless close to all of this seaside resort’s major attractions. Blackpool Tower, home of the Tower Ballroom and the Tower Circus, is just 1.5 miles (2.4 km) away and Louis Tussaud's Waxworks is just 1.8 miles (3 km) away. The town centre and all of its fantastic shops are only around 2 miles (3.2 km) from the hotel and the Winter Gardens, which regularly hosts major shows and concerts, is a similar distance away.

By Car:
- Head towards Blackpool’s seafront promenade.
- Head north at the town’s North Pier until you arrive at the Gynn Square roundabout.
- Continue along the promenade and Chequers Plaza Hotel is approximately 200 metres further on, past the roundabout, on the corner of Empress Drive.

Due to maintenance work, there will be no evening restaurant service until May 2009. Breakfast, lounge menus and room service will continue as normal.
