In Myrto Hotel there is a small bar where breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00.
In the afternoon you can enjoy coffee, tea and soft drinks.
The hotel is located in the most famous area of Greece: Plaka, the old town of Athens. You can visit The Acropolis by following the narrow streets of Plaka leading to the most well-known monument in the world. Crowned by the Parthenon, it stands impressively over Athens, visible from almost everywhere within the city.
From the Myrto Hotel you can start a walking tour which will take you 45 minutes but can take up to 4 hours if you allow yourself to be lured into a few detours.
The walk begins at Plateia Syntagmatos and from there you cross over Stadiou and follow Mitropoleos where you will find Nikis.
On the walk into the city you can call in to the Museum of Greek Folk Art, the Museum of the University and monuments such as the Temple of Hephaestus, the Stoa of Attalos and the Church of the Holy Apostles.
See the Flea Market, one of the most colourful areas in Athens and Pandrossou, a relic of the old Turkish bazaar. Pandrossou leads to Plateia Mitropoleos and the Athens Cathedral.
By Bus (from the airport):
Take the X95 bus to Syntagma Square. You get off (last stop) at Syntagma Square. The hotel is 5 minutes' walk from there. You cross Filellinon Street and find the Central Post Office on Mitropoleos Street. Walk a couple of metres downhill until you meet the corner with Nikis Street. Turn to the left and walk uphill to number 40.
By Metro (from the airport):
Take the metro line towards Monastiraki. Get off at Syntagma Square and then follow above instructions.
By Taxi (from the airport):
Take a taxi to Hotel Myrto.
