Eden Lancaster Hotel

The non smoking 3-star Eden Lancaster Hotel Amsterdam is part of the Eden Hotel Group. The hotel is open 24 hours per day and houses 91 recently renovated hotel rooms divided over 5 floors. All rooms have free high speed internet, free coffee & tea facilities and a private, compact bathroom.

In our charming lobby free wireless internet is available; if you do not have your own laptop you can use our internet computer at a small charge. Drinks and snacks are available 24 hours per day. A breakfast buffet can be enjoyed in our breakfast restaurant.

Our receptionists will be happy to assist you in reserving tickets to all kinds of attractions such as the zoo Artis, a canal cruise or a city tour. City maps are available at the reception free of charge.

If you are coming by car you can use the public parking lots around the hotel. Day cards for the parking can be obtained at the reception. Please note that parking in Amsterdam is expensive! (34 euro per 24 hours)

Unfortunately the hotel and breakfast area are not easily accessible for guests in a wheel chair.

All of our 91 rooms have been renovated recently and are equipped with all the modern facilities you need such as free internet access, flat screen television with movie on demand, free coffee and tea facilities, telephone, a desk and a compact bathroom with shower.

The diversity of room types in this historical building is unique; cosy double rooms; fancy superior rooms or theme room (at a small supplement) and family rooms; we have it all!
The maximum occupancy for our twin, double and superior rooms is 2 adults, our family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children.

Requests or comments which are entered in the remarks field are always on request and can only be confirmed by one of our employees.

Smoking is prohibited in the entire hotel, we kindly request you to take this into account. For smoking on the hotels premises you will be charged a 50 euro fine.

The breakfast buffet provides a healthy start to each day. Enjoy a variety of hot and cold dishes in the air-conditioned breakfast room. The friendly staff welcomes you for breakfast from 07:00 to 10:30 and on Saturdays and Sundays till 11:00.

Why not try the famous Brasserie Flo on Rembrandt Square? The receptionists will be happy to reserve a table for you - special discount vouchers for Brasserie Flo are also available at the reception.

The hotel is located on the quiet Plantage Middenlaan, in the centre of Amsterdam, across from the Artis Zoo. Within walking distance from the hotel you will find Waterloo Square, with the Stopera theatre and famous flee market, and the Rembrandt Square, with its bars, restaurants and clubs.

Besides the Artis Zoo, you will also find the Hermitage Museum, Carré Theatre and the botanical gardens of Amsterdam in the direct surroundings of the hotel.

The Central Station is only a 15-minute tram ride away. The RAI convention centre is only 25 minutes away and Schiphol Airport 35 minutes. There is a regular shuttle service from and to the airport (operated by Connexxion) which stops at our hotel - so you should not have any trouble reaching us!

By Tram:
- Take tram number 9 or 14 to Artis Zoo / Plantage Middenlaan.

By Car:
- Take the A10 ring road and depart at exit S-113.
- After the exit follow directions for the city centre.
- After about 2.5 km you will come to the roundabout near the Tropenmuseum; turn to the left.
- Take the first crossing to the right.
- After about 300 metres the Lancaster Hotel is situated on the left side.

A valid ID or passport is required upon check-in.

A valid credit card number is required to confirm your reservation. If the credit card is not your own, you need a signed authorisation from the card holder along with a copy of both sides of the card.

The only way to guarantee check-in for an early arrival is to reserve the room for the night before. Upon arrival, the reception will ask you for a credit card imprint or a cash payment for the entire stay.

We kindly request you to take the check-out time into consideration. If you would like to keep the room longer, you will automatically be charged a fee per hour up until 16:00. After 16:00 the daily room rate will apply.

In case of an early departure, the first following night will be charged extra. An exception to this rule are the congress and event periods, in which case the entire stay will be charged.

While some drugs are legalised in the Netherlands, drugs are not permitted anywhere on the hotel’s premises. Violation of this rule will result in a fine.

Please note: Cancellations of individual reservations must be made before 16:00, one day before arrival.
